A Shepherd for the Diocese of Kroonstad appointed

Oudtshoorn, 17 February 2026 – It was announced today that Pope Leo XV has appointed Rev. Fr Amos Mabuti Masemola as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Kroonstad. Until his appointment, Monsignor Masemola served as Second Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Pretoria and as Parish Priest of St Thomas More, Monavoni.

We join the faithful of the Diocese of Kroonstad in thanksgiving for this long awaited appointment of a bishop for that particular flock of the local Church. Pous

Oudtshoorn, 9 Februarie 2026 – Op Saterdag, 7 Februarie het die Bisdomlike Katolieke Vrouebond Presidente-vergadering by St Maria Goretti in Worcester (Westerlike Dekenaat) plaasgevind. Die vergadering bring die Presidente van elke tak, vergesel van óf die Vise-Presidente óf die Sekretaresse van elke tak bymekaar kom om sake in verband met die Bisdomlike werksaamhede van die Bond te bespreek. The campaign kicks off this coming Sunday, 15 February across the three Deaneries in our Diocese.

Die brief is gerig aan alle Bisdomlike-geloofsgemeenskappe en -leiers. Die veldtog begin hierdie komende Sondag, 15 Februarie, in die drie dekanate in ons Bisdom.

Praying the Stations of the Cross is a Lenten devotion that offers witness to Jesus’ Passion and Death and it is meant to help the Christian faithful and all who come seeking and looking with an open and sincere heart, to unite with Jesus on that journey he is believed to have taken from Pilate’s house to Calvary.
