Oudtshoorn, 4 February 2026 – The annual Diocesan Lenten Pilgrimage along the Via Dolorosa has been confirmed to take place at our much loved “Kruisweg op die Kruisberg” on Sunday, February 22nd.
PRAYING THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS IS A LENTEN DEVOTION THAT OFFERS WITNESS TO JESUS’ PASSION AND DEATH
Praying the Stations of the Cross is a Lenten devotion that offers witness to Jesus’ Passion and Death and it is meant to help the Christian faithful and all who come seeking and looking with an open and sincere heart, to unite with Jesus on that journey he is believed to have taken from Pilate’s house to Calvary.
This devotion is especially popular during the Fridays of the Lenten season. and what it entails is to, where possible, physically visit and pray in front of each of the 14 stations in your local church, oratory or chapel.
