Oudtshoorn, 24 January 2026 – The Sacred Heart Sodality of the Mosselbay, Knysna and George areas, started the year’s activities with a blessing from their Parish Priests.
Annual clergy retreat
Oudtshoorn, 22 November 2025 – From across the Diocese, a large percentage of clergy present and working in our three Deaneries, gathered at Bethany Cappuchin Adoration Convent in Swellendam for a week of prayer and reflection, led by the Auxiliary Bishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cape Town, Rt Rev Sylvester Davids OMI.

Deanery Pastoral Councils meet
Oudtshoorn, 15 November 2025 – Across the Diocese, the three Deanery Pastoral Councils met today to devolve matters arrising from the recent Diocesan Pastoral Council.

The Diocesan Pastoral Council
Oudtshoorn, 10 November 2025 – On Saturday, 8 November, the final Diocesan Pastoral Council meeting took place at St Saviour’s in Oudtshoorn. Representatives from the three Deaneries, as well as the Sodality groups, Communities, and other Groups present in the Diocese, joined Bishop Noel and a large number of diocesan clergy to address important matters concerning the nature of being Church and its lived expression.

Oudtshoorn 13 October 2025 – In the Southern Deanery, Frans Elders says he was blessed during his visit to St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church in Pacaltsdorp and Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Thembalethu yesterday when, in the abscence of Fr Aphiwe SAC, he encountered Fr Manu VC and Fr. Dilvin VC respectively, supplying for Fr Aphiwe.

The Diocesan Sacred Heart Sodalities gathered
Oudtshoorn 29 September 2025 – Over the weekend 26 to 28 September 2025 atGood Shepherd Catholic Church in Thembalethu, George, the Diocesan branches of the Sacred Heart Sodality gathered together with Fr Aphiwe SAC, Deacon Refiloe and on Sunday also Fr Johan Strydom for the annual Diocesan Sodality Conference.
